Problems setting up the Kinect on Windows

Setup:
XBox Kinect Camera
Windows OS
FAAST Download : http://projects.ict.usc.edu/mxr/faast/
OpenNI Unstable Build for Windows x86 (32-bit) v1.3.4.3
PrimeSense NITE Unstable Build for Windows x86 (32-bit) v1.4.2.4
Hardware sensors drivers
Microsoft Kinect: SensorKinect-Win-OpenSource32-5.0.3.4.msi
PrimeSensor: PrimeSensor Module Unstable Build for Windows x86 (32-bit) v5.0.3.4

Problems:
After downloading all the needed drivers and installing them the NiViewer and the FAAST.exe are suppose to run out of the box. However, I am having difficulty in that when I run the applications I am getting a error message stating the sensor is not connected even though the Kinect is plugged in and the LED light is blinking.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with the Kinect attached. Before I got the error that that nodes (with none listed) coud not be found. The second time around I am getting the error:
Device: PrimSense/SensorKinect/5.0.3.4: The device is not connected!
Device: PrimSense/SensorV2/5.0.4.3: The device is not connected!
Device: PrimSense/SensorKinect/5.0.3.4: The device is not connected!
Device: PrimSense/SensorV2/5.0.4.3: The device is not connected!

-However, according to Open Kinect If the driver is not installed and the device is connected, the LED light “WILL NOT BE ON NOR BLINK”. In my case the LED is “ON and BLINKING”
-Upon further investigation I have found that the CL-NUI Drivers are already installed on the computer thus the light is blinking and the CL-NUI Test is running.

– Still working to find the source of the problem.

TroubleShooting:
– Since quite a few applications and drivers have been installed on my device I am attempting to trouble shoot the issue of FAAST not working by uninstalling the following drivers,
CL NUI Platform
SensorKinect 5.0.3.4
Open Kinect freelib

Downloading
SensorKinect 5.1.0.25
PrimeSense
OpenNI
NITE win32
