How SVN can be come annoying

Everyone and every office has their own work flow. Some more efficient than others and some more tedious than others and still some are just down right anal.

Topics of SVN Turmoil:

  • SVN vs Server Sharing
  • When to use SVN
  • When NOT to use SVN
  • How to use SVN
  • Using GIT
  • Setting up SVN in a Creative Agency without Admin Access

Had trouble today setting up SVN in closed corporate environment:

The starting problem being that I don’t have direct computer admin access.

Second because of this I am not able to log into the ssh to even begin the process of getting in to the server’s SVN repo to then create branches and working copies.
